Patrolled By Radar
Patrolled by Radar, formerly 50 Cent Haircut,[3] is a 4-member[2] American rock band notable for an Americana Roots rock[2] sound which is based in the greater Los Angeles area.[5] A review in Reverb Nation gave a positive recommendation to their debut album Be Happy and described it as "fully matured songwriting, superb musicianship and a confident and unique blend of styles" and compared their music to The Who and The Kinks.[1] They use harmonicas, pedal steel guitars, acoustic guitars and brass instruments.[6] In 2011, they signed a recording contract with Knitting Factory Records.[7][8] According to one account in The Grateful Web, the band changed its name from 50 Cent Haircut to Patrolled by Radar to avoid confusion with Rapper 50 Cent.[6] In 2011, they have been touring in various spots in the United States in venues with prominent artists, including in Brooklyn with Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs,[9] and in 2010 in Missoula, Montana with Colin Hay of the Australian band Men at Work.[10]
